The message below got bounced by the listserv because of suspected "administrivia". I guess it didn't like the word "subscribe" in the subject! Apologies if this ends up being a re-post (I *thnk* the cancel was successful....) -----Original Message----- From: David Parker Sent: Tuesday, July 27, 2004 5:01 PM To: slony1-general at gborg.postgresql.org Subject: subscribe set Does the slon daemon on a given subscriber have to be running when the "subscribe set" is issued? In setup_slony.pl it asks you to start the daemons before it issues the subscribe slonik command, is why I'm asking. It looks like the slon code generates its own SYNC event at startup - is this sufficient to pick up a new subscription? - DAP ====================================================== David Parker Tazz Networks (401) 709-5130
