OK - I'll have a word with Greg when he gets here this morning and see
what he advises to replace the old macros.

Yeah, I knew he was working on MSVC builds but didn't get a look at what
he's been doing yet (if I'm honest, I only just got round to subscribing
to the new lists :-( ). My commit access is in the process of being
reinstated as you know so we should be able to sort the Windows stuff
between us again.
