Hi, this is the first time I'm attempting to use slony. I have just a few
quick 'get started'questions.

I have successfully installed slony 1.2.14 on both intended master and slave
machines.

Although the machines are in the same physical location they are on separate
subnets.

I have copied the database schema that I intend to perform replication on
onto the slave machine.

Now I am attempting to run the slonik script to define the cluster, nodes,
add table sets,

Store nodes, store paths, and store listens

1. I believe the master admin node has been defined but the slave admin
node had an error

During definition. How do I verify that? In fact are there verification
tools for me to use?

2. How do I 'restart' the definition process. When I just resubmit the
shell script it tells

Me that the master node has already been defined and kicks out. Do I just
start

With the slave node definition?

3. Any other 'words to the wise' for the newbie would be appreciated.

I am tailoring my definition script from the one offered by the Open
Technology Group

Administration class. Thank you for your time.
