Not sure whether this will be of much more help ;-)

Those Oracle guys have some bad ideas, but the one of enumerating and
identifying errors is a good one. If I get mystique ORA-34234: ...
error, I can open docs and read detailed description of what this bug
means. Or even google for it.

Maybe in the long term it could make sense to consider such a thing
for Slony?
