I compiled postgres8.3 with --enable-thread-safety option and tried to
cconfigure slony.I still get the same error
configure: error: PostgreSQL needs to be compiled with
--enable-thread-safety on solaris2.10

You _also_ need the very latest stable Slony branch

I dont understand this. Can you explain this a bit? Also where do I get the
latest Slony branch?
Do you think I have to install the patch for solaris and reconfigure
postgresql again. I havent applied patches before. If I have to do that
where shd I save this patch(what is it substituting for?? sorry if my
question is dumb)
