I'm looking to start using Slony, but was looking for some input as to how people manage their Slony/Postgres installs. I'll be installing on CentOS or Fedora, both of which provide Postgres packages are part of the release. It seems that to best control your environment, custom compiling postgres and sticking it in it's own directory somewhere is the way to go, and when doing it to build slony along with it. But it seems I could save myself the hassle of compiling postgres and use the distribution supplied copy, then just compile slony to go with it. What setup works for you? Thanks, Dave
