Hello :) With pg 8.1.3 + slony 1.1.5, I've just noticed this in all of
our 4 slon daemons:
2006-06-16 10:21:58 BST DEBUG2 remoteWorkerThread_2: SYNC 1325363 processing
2006-06-16 10:21:58 BST DEBUG2 remoteWorkerThread_2: syncing set 2 with
8 table(s) from provider 2
2006-06-16 10:21:58 BST DEBUG2 remoteWorkerThread_2: syncing set 1 with

2006-06-16 10:21:58 BST DEBUG2 remoteHelperThread_2_2: 0.023 seconds
until close cursor
2006-06-16 10:21:59 BST ERROR remoteWorkerThread_2: "insert into

" ERROR: syntax error at or near "Av" at character 158
- qualification was:
2006-06-16 10:21:59 BST ERROR remoteWorkerThread_2: SYNC aborted
and the cause is almost certainly the odd '<?>' in the Hotel name, but
my question is... how can I get Slony to resume so I can start looking
for how this bad data got introduced in the first place?
Ideally I want to edit the repl. log and remove this offending
character; I've checked sl_event on node 2 for ev_seqno 1325363 which
shows me:
ev_origin | ev_seqno | ev_timestamp | ev_minxid | ev_maxxid | ev_xip |
ev_type
-----------+----------+----------------------------+-----------+-----------+-------------------------------------+---------+----------+----------+----------+----------+----------+----------+----------+----------
2 | 1325363 | 2006-06-15 15:27:42.873419 | 659554956 | 659565084 |
'659564897','659554956','659565053' | SYNC
|
But if I look for these three xid's in sl_log_1...
select * from _replication.sl_log_1 where log_xid in
(659564897,659554956,659565053);
I am shown 52 rows that bear no resemblance to the INSERT above - what
am I doing wrong here? :(
Cheers,
Gavin.
