I found a bit more yet after digging a bit more on the linuxfinances.info page. I came through the gborg site and the only thing that told me what do do was http://gborg.postgresql.org/project/slony1/genpage.php?howto_basic It told me what do do, not why. :) Maybe i should give the slon-tools a try...
