I wouldn't do this in slon even if the option was there.  Instead use a
separate user for the slon connections (I use "slony") and then do:

   ALTER USER slony SET xxx = yyy;
   ALTER USER slony SET xx2 = yy2;
   ...

Any connections by user slony will now use these settings.

To undo one of the settings do:

   ALTER USER slony RESET xxx;
