They are called origin, and yes, different tables can have a different 
origin where they are modified. But no if you intend to modify the same 
table on different nodes and hope it will do some kind of magic merge 
synchronization alas Palm-Sync or worse. Synchronous multimaster 
replication is the topic of my next project.
