A summary about the issue that we faced:

environment: 
slony version: 2.2.1
postgres version: 8.4.9 and 9.3.2
OS: uname -a Linux 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64

Issue: Slony replication was working fine on the new version of slony 2.2.1.
For maintenance purposes we decided to shut down slony and restart it. The shut
down went fine with slon_kill command. When we tried to start slony there was
an error in the slony log file. All I could gather from the slony log file was
that there was a timestamp processing issue after the slony process restarted
on the server. Since it was a weekend I had to go ahead and rebuild slony
replication for the nodes. I wanted to ask if there are any known issues with
slony 2.2.1 and postgres 8.4 that we need to be aware of.
